GW3A: Reading the Lot Code

Santamaría’s lot code is a precise agricultural index.

G = Geisha variety.
W = Washed process.
3 = Plot 3 on the estate, a block within the upper tier of the farm at altitude.
A = First harvest pass of the season, when only the earliest and densest ripening cherries are selected.
